Find your your ideal canine companion.
Have you ever pondered which dog breed best suits your preferences? Petplan, one of the UK's leading pet insurers, sought to create an additional avenue to attract individuals who do not own dogs to their website. To achieve this, the Petplan team conceived the concept of a dog breed selector that generates results based on responses to a set of questions.

Results Page with breed details
Given the potential for various dog breeds to be selected, the results page was designed to provide additional guidance and information on the chosen dogs.
My role
Working as a Digital Designer, I took the lead in designing the interactive quiz, commencing with the creation of a wireframe that accommodated all the questions. Collaborating with the lead engineer, we established the technical parameters within the Petplan website all the way until delivery.
Wireframing and prototyping
Using prior research, Petplan already had a good scope on the questions asked to ascertain a users ideal dog breeds. Therefore, my initial task was to put the information into wireframes showing the simple screen layouts and user journeys.
This practice was undertaken as the business had tight deadlines to make and needed a good solution fast and wireframes can facilitate quick ideation and feedback.

Invision and icons
This groundwork allowed me to present initial ideas quickly and succinctly so the project could keep moving at the pace the business required. Once all teams were aligned with the direction, I could then overlay the wireframes using Petplan branding.
Petplan's brand lacked detailed icons, prompting me to develop a set of three icons for each question. This approach breathed fresh life into the brand and garnered positive feedback from Petplan's stakeholders.

A rapid delivery
Following the selection of designs, I closely collaborated with the lead engineer to ensure the seamless implementation to engineering. This process was aided by the prior research done earlier in the job scoping.
The end result is an interactive quiz that is user-friendly, enjoyable, and engaging, helping numerous users in their quest to find the perfect furry friend!
